A Message From Our Founder
Dear Community,
Musician In-Kind Community Services was born from a deep-rooted passion for music and a profound desire to support the very community that shaped me. As a musician of 25 years and having grown up in a family deeply entrenched in the musical realm, I envisioned a platform that could offer assistance to fellow musicians, making their lives a bit more manageable.
The life of a musician isn’t a conventional 9-to-5 job. It often lacks the stability of benefits and can sometimes yield insufficient compensation. The outbreak of COVID-19 exacerbated these challenges, devastating the industry and leaving numerous musicians without work or resources to fall back on.
In response to this crisis, Musicians In-kind Community Services Inc swiftly sprang into action. We answered calls for help, providing aid in various forms, from job resources to food, medical assistance, and even support for funeral expenses. What began as a response to an urgent need eventually evolved into a full-time commitment for me.
I recognized an opportunity to transform my passion for music into a meaningful purpose. Witnessing the struggles faced by my fellow musicians propelled me to expand our assistance, to do more, and to make a tangible difference in their lives.
My vision for Musician In-kind Community Services is to alleviate the burdens that hinder musicians from focusing on what truly matters—their music. By offering support and resources, we aim to enable musicians to dedicate themselves to their craft, providing musical therapy that heals the world, one note at a time.
